Wordpress, Now a days wordpress is the most populer Blogging platform. Day by day it's became more populer and one of the most common question witch I heard from most of the newbie blogger is Why use Wordpress, or Why not use Blogspot. But in this case I'm not going to discus why Blogspot is good but not best. I'm just focus more on Why Wordpress and Why we should use Wordpress as your Blogging platform.

Let us get back to the topic " Why use Wordpress", I started my Blogging journey with Blogspot but after 5 month of my journey with Blogspot I moved to more professional blogging platform by migrating my Blogspot Blog to self-hosted Wordpress blog. My Blogspot Blogging Journey gone very well but I realized that Blogspot is missing many essential features like permalink editing, SEO Setting and use of Plugins. Wordpress platform is more scalable then Blogspot platform. All over the world all of the professional Bloggers around the web are using Wordpress as their blogging platform and this gave me another reason to make my shift from Blogspot to Wordpress.
Most common Reason Why I use WordPress is my choice of Blogging platform:
1. Wordpress Support
When I started blogging on wordpress, I was a newbie and needed lots of support. Wordpress support forum is the easiest way to get all the support I needed. Lots of wordpress user and simple google search can solve you problem.
2. WordPress Themes and plugins
Starting a new blog, one of the prime concern is design of the blog. There are three ways to go about that:
- Hire some one to make a unique Wordpress Theme
- Or you can buy a Premium Theme from most popular Theme marketplace
- Download free Wordpress Theme by searching on google or search engine
Most of newbie blogger will frist go with free but I personally recommend for paid one, because of support. Hundreds of theme marketplace for Wordpress, where you can download any Wordpress themes. On the other hand Blogspot is limited. I recommend you to use Free Lancing Websites, You can easily find many Theme Developer and Designers in very cheap price.
3. WordPress as a static Website
Planning to create a static website, wordpress feature give you to create a static website easily. Static website with Wordpress will help you in better SEO and search engine ranking.
Last couple of months, I have seen many of my friend and clints started build their static website with wordpress and seen great improvement in search engine raking. There are no secrate in it, as Wordpress plugins helps you lot to optimize your onpage SEO and Wordpress dashboard makes it easier to make changes and update thing for non-techie people. Blogspot is a free blogging platform and that's why it's used by lots of spammers to create back links and for affiliate marketing. If you have self-hosted wordpress blog, it means you are serious to became a professional blogger.
6. Monetization
Self-hosted wordpress site help you to gain respect and trus. So that you can easily contact private advertiser and increase your potential to make more money. Many advertising agencies like BuySellads, doesn't support Blogspot or many such sub-domain hosted site. Maximum Advertising agencies launched Dedicated plugins for wordpress blog, Example: Infolinks, Buysellads etc.
